A KALEIDOSCOPIC EXPERIENCE

The annual Emerging Talent exhibition an event organized by the VM Gallery, offers an opportunity to view an exuberance of colour, vitality and essential energy in a heterogeneous display. The exhibition is geared towards promoting a sense of optimism in the ability of art to communicate directly by showing the work of potential artists from across the country. In this the 7th successive annual effort, noticeable absences disappointed a keen audience participation. Many art lovers are interested in the work coming out of art departments throughout the country, and the consistent opportunity for interaction between artists and the public is of vital importance. One remember an exhibition that took place in 2003, when Raja Changez Sultan was the Director General of the PNCA, and for the first time an exhibition of sculpture was held at Alhamra, Lahore. It was astounding as the work flooded in from every region of the country, witness to the unique talent that exists in every region regardless of market demand.
